Mateo goes to Raeford's Barber Shop in Davidson

Mateo got his first haircut on Monday! Nicolette says "he looks less like a caveman and more like a baby boy" Attie says that "he looks like a baby now" and Kate just thinks it is a cute haircut. He did pretty well and did not show his ability to break glass with his shriek. He did have a lollipop, but those guys at Raefords are pros...here a snip there a snip everywhere a snip snip and we were done!

Who says" These boots were made for walkin"..not me

A day at Fisher Farms in Davidson proved to be more exercise for us then Mateo. For some reason he does not think he can move in these adorable boots....given to Mateo by his one of his benefactors, the Rodden boys

It has now been 17 days since my dad left us. I am back at work and trying to hang in there. Thanks to all that have fed us, sent cards, watched the children, and sent prayers and nice thoughts. I really miss my dad, but am glad that I have such good friends and a great family! Love you all......

Forever loved and missed...

My dad passed away 10-10-08...
Here is what I said at the service in MN.

Romans 5:3-5
Not only so, but we also must rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance, character & hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us

Perseverance, character & hope are all qualities that my dad possessed and through actions, not words passed them on to his family, friends and the many others that he touched.

As we all suffer now and our hearts ache for him to be here with us, we must know that we will all preserver and find happiness in the life, love and memories left behind. Keith Rohlfs, father, grandfather, husband, uncle, brother, cousin, veteran, hero and friend extraordinaire, you will be missed and loved for eternity.

During times I feel that I cannot get through a situation, I find peace ,hope and strength in saying “Lord, I cannot make it thought this day alone, but through you all things are possible and I can continue”. May this help you all find strength.

My Dad, a family guy!
